Yes sometimes it crashes which is why I mistakenly thought that purchasing Movie Studio 15 Platinum on Steam would be better.I was wrong.Needs to be online to activate things that should already be part of the software as I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR IT.For some reason it randomly cannot play videos that work fine with even the most basic of software.If you want to do video editing. This is not worth the money even on sale.. Can't recommend. It's very slow, even at the simplest of tasks, like cutting a piece out of a video using the trimmer tool - one would think thats a base task for such a tool. It crashes frequently - during rendering, during editing - it just crashes all the time. Licensing is bugged - just look into discussion forum her on steam. Works fine, crashes are rare, but happen every few hours. This package has most of the stuff needed for personal/semipro editing. If you can figure out using Virtual Dub/AviSynth for video pre-processing you will be golden.The main UI is good, fairly responsive and works well for editing. "Pan+Crop" is still a huge PITA to use - the controls are awkward and keyframing things like zooms are horrible. If possible, use the "picture in picture" effect instead.Video preview is reasonably fast, but desyncs quite a lot when effects are lagging.Exports are ok speed, but nothing impressive. There appears to be a bug with AMD hardware encoding, where it will only do 24fps, so I have to use the good, but slow Mainconcept export function.It appears to have "lost" the "HitFilm" plugins from VMS 13, but if you have the older version you can copy them over. Other than that I will recommend the upgrade, if you can get it on a sale.TLDR; Good reasonably priced. No big problems.. doesn't work. I bought VEGAS Movie Studio 14 Platinum Steam Edition and it didn't work, and I refunded it and bought VEGAS Movie Studio 15 Platinum Steam Edition instead. Still didn't work dont buy. I am pretty exciting from the video editing program Vegas Move Studio. It offer a lot of differnt funktions and i can create great videos in no time. The interface is very simple and anyone can create profesional vidteo, without to learn and try 10 hours, like with anothe programs. The program runs safe and stable
